Domain move
Move a domain between providers without losing website or email.
Before
- Write down every current DNS record, especially email (MX, SPF, DKIM)
- Confirm the domain isn't within a recent-transfer lock period
- Unlock the domain and get the transfer code
During
- Recreate every DNS record at the new provider before switching
- Start the transfer and approve the confirmation email
After
- Test the website and send/receive email
- Turn on auto-renew and two-step sign-in at the new provider
- Run a Company Up CheckUp
